Registered Sedation Nurse
Jacinta has been an integral part of our IV sedation team for 5 years.
Jacinta completed her hospital based Registered Nurse qualification in 1992 at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane – the largest adult hospital in the Southern Hemisphere. In 1999 she broadened her academic knowledge by completing her Bachelor of Nursing at RMIT, Melbourne.
Jacinta completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in 2014. Further studies commencing in 2016 saw Jacinta complete a Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Clinical Nursing.
Working in many specialty areas, for the last 14 years she has worked as a senior clinician in The Emergency Department.
Jacinta also has certificates in First Aid, ECG interpretation, venepuncture and IV cannulation, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for adults, paediatrics and neonates.
She has taught First Aid, BLS, venepuncture and IV cannulation in Melbourne and throughout Australia.
Outside Dentistry
Jacinta has a passion for knowledge and for providing up to date high quality patient centred care.
In her spare time Jacinta enjoys travelling and cooking – all the better if the two can be combined!
